Analyses of lavender oils
Here's the first "real life" analyse:Sample: Wild  harvested lavender (lavandula angustifolia), from the Haute Provence region at an altitude between 700 and 900 meter. Distilled in the alambic that you can find on the distillation images, at an altitude around 700 meter. The sample comes from the latest harvest in august 1998. It was a very bad year for the lavender, a lot of rain, there was not much wild lavender available and the linalol and linalyl-acetate levels are lower than normal.
The analyse is performed by Daniel Dantin, who is also a distiller but a chemicus in a former life.
