Analyses of lavender oils
Here's another "real life" analyse:Sample:
Lavandin abrialis, organically grown (lavandula
x hybrida clone abrialis), from the Haute Provence region at an altitude
around 600- 700 meter. The sample comes from the latest harvest in august
1998. It was a very bad year for the lavender and lavandins, a lot of rain,
there was not much wild lavender available and the linalol and linalyl-acetate
levels are lower than normal. The fragrance is very pleasant though.
The analyse is performed by Daniel Dantin,
who is also a distiller but a chemicus in a former life.
